In 2009 the General Convention of the Episcopal Church passed a resolution (A143) mandating that every diocese gather information on its history of racism. In 2020 the Diocese of New Jersey formally approved a Commission on Reparations, in part to conduct a more detailed investigation. In the fall of 2022 the Commission hired Dr. Jolyon Pruszinski to conduct research, foster expansion of the work, and report on findings pertaining to the mandate. This site will host initial findings and resources to enable further investigation. The material hosted here is not exhaustive.
